LOS ANGELES — Renowned worship ensemble The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has claimed its seventh GRAMMY® Award, winning Best Roots Gospel Album at the 68th GRAMMY® Awards for I Will Not Be Moved: Live with The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. The honor was presented during the GRAMMY® Premiere Ceremony held earlier today in Los Angeles. The win marks another milestone for the celebrated choir and represents a historic first GRAMMY® victory for StowTown Records, which released the live album. “We are deeply grateful to receive this GRAMMY® Award,” said Carol Cymbala, founding musical director of The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. “We extend our sincere thanks to the Recording Academy and to everyone who played a role in making this recognition possible.” Landon Beene, president of StowTown Records and StowTown Worship Resource, also welcomed the achievement. “The entire StowTown team is thrilled that the Recording Academy’s voting members have recognized this extraordinary project,” Beene said. “To be part of a seventh GRAMMY® win with Carol Cymbala and The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir is truly one of the greatest honors of my life.” Featured artist TaRanda Greene accepted the award on behalf of the choir, noting Cymbala’s absence from the ceremony. “Carol Cymbala could not be here tonight, but on behalf of her, the choir, and everyone involved, we are grateful for the opportunity to write and record music that we pray will encourage people and bring hope to the world, in the name of Jesus,” Greene said. Produced by Cymbala alongside J. Daniel Smith, I Will Not Be Moved: Live with The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choirincludes seven well-loved worship selections and three original compositions. Released in 2025, the project features guest appearances from two-time Dove Award winner Babbie Mason, TaRanda Greene, Elevation Church’s Brad Hudson, and Dove Award-winning singer-songwriter Stephen McWhirter. With this latest accolade, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir continues to cement its legacy as one of the most honored and influential voices in contemporary gospel and worship music.
